I seem to have fallen into the Switching Editor syndrome. This summer, Lia Brown from Avalon, requested a full manuscript from me. This morning learned Lia was leaving Avalon.
At least my manuscript was edited to the best of my ability before I sent it in. I can only hope the new editor sounds as promising as Lia did. Maybe this is a good reason to rely on the abilities of agents instead of pursuing editors.
Oh well. On to the next.
Perhaps the new editor for Avalon will love your story and put it through even faster! At least it is submitted! Congrats on that part of the publishing journey. Don't jump off the train it will get to the destination. Do you have your Jano story plan?
ReplyDeleteWell that set-back is a "bit" of a bummer BUT I have confidence that it will still be picked up. Will think positive thoughts for you, anyway. :-)
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
The good news is two-fold: a top-notch editor requested a FULL from you, and it is edited and ready to submit to editors OR agents. Keep at it. Lia also requested a partial from me which I never got to her. Oh, well...
