Green tea has been attributed with health benefits to help the body fight weight gain, cancer, headaches, rheumatoid arthritis, high cholesterol levels, cardiovascular disease, infection, and impaired immune function.
As a avid green tea drinker, I have to question this theory. For years, I've consumed at least three cups of green tea a day. I've gained weight over the years. So I questioned my doctor about the tea's benefits. She rolled her eyes. "It doesn't do anything," she said. "Except make you pee more."
Well, that part is true. But I'm still not giving it up. I find a cup of green tea very relaxing, so I'll continue to drink more than I should.
What about you? Do you feel all the hype surrounding green tea is true?
